CRAAP Test

 

When reviewing resources, through databases or through open websites, you can review the following as you consider using it:

  1. Currency: Review the date of the material, see if it was revised, is this current for the topic being research?
  2. Relevancy: Review the intended audience, does this fit the topic or question being research?
  3. Authority: Who or what created the work, was there credential/qualification information, is there contact information?
  4. Accuracy: Review for possible biased, is information verifiable, does it feature misspellings or grammatical errors?
  5. Purpose: For what reason was the resource produced (persuade, information, teach, etc.)?
